Fortunately, Chez Femme is miles away from any of the fires burning right now. (We live in what I call the "urbburbs," single and multi-family residential area in the middle of more urban areas.)
But the air is still very smoky, and it looks like we're still a day or two out from much relief weather-wise. Hopefully by Friday we'll be back in an onshore flow pattern, which will bring cooler, moister air our way.
Please hold a good thought for those whose homes are in danger, and especially for those who have lost their homes and livelihoods.
