Moral of the story: hang onto those old Renaissance Faire costumes.
I think the most annoyed my kids ever got with me was when they found I had given away the "dress-up box." At the time, they were all teens to young adults, and we were downsizing from 2400 square feet to 800 square feet (moving into our summer cottage while we performed a major reconstruction and addition) which necessitated serious culling and use of expensive storage. Still, everyone I've told this to since has taken my kids' side -- the stash of costume possibilities seems a resource worth treasuring!
ReplyDeleteGrand idea. Halloween, the Opera!
ReplyDeleteVery cute!

ReplyDeleteI have costumes from when I was 2.
ReplyDeleteThey come in handy as good bribes for little kids. ;)
