LBR, he was definitely one of the Metrosexual trailblazers. :-)
Polly, I remember coming home after living outside the US for a few months, and there was this THING, MTV and it was a phenomenon. I can say I'm old enough to remember when MTV actually played music videos, LOL!
I was able to buy the cassette (after my first paycheck from my part time/midnight gig at washington inventory service). We used to listen to that & Jethro Tull in the van driving down to Pocoima at 2am for inventory hell. College days. Good times. BEEP BEEP! My grades suffered. ; )
LOL. Those early videos look so amatuerish now, don't they? I confess I don't understand what was going on in that one.
ReplyDeleteOn the day that MTV came on the air, I was at a party to celebrate the big event. Back in the day!
This seems to be totally 80's Friday. You, me and Colleen! Wow, it is in the air.
ReplyDeleteI love Bowie. He is a man who appreciates the power of fashion. Come to think of it, was he the first Metrosexual?
