Chez moi

I've been home since Friday afternoon, and enjoying (almost) every minute. No more technicolor dreams (and extreme nausea) brought on by pain meds, no more "coffee" that tastes like something wrung out of a dirty dishcloth, my own bed and best of all my family and pups nearby.

I'm getting aroung on one crutch, and experiencing negligible levels of pain (0-2 in nurse parlance). Still having to spend more time in bed than I'd prefer, but I'm trying to be a good patient and not overdo. Thanks again to everyone for your good wishes.

Am hoping to resume somewhat normal posting by early next week with more musings on shoes, "Cruise" and more.

  1. I hope you recover quickly!

I remember when I had my breast reduction and had to spend most of my time in the recliner. It about drove me crazy!

  2. Even with pain, home is better than the hospital. Happy to hear how well you are doing. Take good care and don't let anyone take your red shoes from you. There's no place like home--except France!

  3. You actually drank the hospital coffee?!?! *gasps in horror*
You must have been under the influence of some really powerful pharmaceuticals! Glad to hear your home and doing well. Take it easy, and don't overdo, m'kay?

  4. Glad you are doing so well! I have a low pain tolerance and after bunion surgery, was in tremendous pain for at least 2 weeks. So you are doing great!!! Don't overdo it though--this kind of rest doesn't come along that often!

  6. Yay!!! As a former nurse, I've always said, there is no place like home in which to recover (unless you really have mass chaos around you - LOL)

I'm so glad it's all going well.
