Another designer that has good selection of styles that can be worn cross-body is Miu Miu. These are quite pricey, but have a bit more style. Not sure if they're on the heavier side, though. Or this one!

Alright, you got me! I'm exaggerating(the bag's cost) or wishful thinking a bit (the flights cost). Or at least it could be two flights if it weren't for all the fuel surcharges and taxes and airport fees (the small print, as it were). It's a gorgeous bag, though, and I do love the feel of beautiful leather.
These bags look better than the ones you posted earlier. The first one, which I like best of the three, looks quite heavy, but if you only carry the few articles you earlier mentioned, I´d think you´d manage. Were I you, I´d still keep searching for the right bag to turn up.

A friend of mine has that bottom one - it's lighter (in weight) than it appears and I CANNOT KEEP MY HANDS OFF IT. The leather is gorgeous.
