Ready-to-Wear I'm Ready to Wear

From NY Fashion Week, Fall 2008 collections. All photos Style.com.

Nicole Miller:
As always, I'm a sucker for a great jacket.

Elie Tahari:Classy!

Another statement coat. Clean and simple, yes. Boring, no!

This one, not so much...looks like this butterfly's not fully emerged from her coccoon...

  2. That Black jacket was awesome! I donno, but I seem to have a fixation over the colour black. Good pictures!

  3. I was recently in New York and traveled by subway. I would say that 90% of the people on the subway were wearing some form of black puffer coat. Long, short, hooded and not. I was wearing my red wool coat and my daughter was in black and white houndstooth. Honestly, we could not have stood out more if we'd been wearing fluorescent pink.
On the other note, all of those shapes are terrific and wearable for just about everyone. The other nice thing is that just about every one of those is featured in sewing patterns so that those of us who have a bit of skill and talent but less cash can reproduce them for ourselves(and usually made better and more carefully, I might add).
