I've tried to include little something for everyone.Marc Jacobs, $1100. It's goofy, it's whimsical, and if I could remember where I planted that money tree, I'd be ordering it right now.

Channel your Inner Hippie in this 3.1 Phillip Lim, $675. Or make that "Former-Hippie-Now-Head-of-Own-Software-Company."
DVF, $345.
Some Little Black Dresses:
Donna Rico, $178.
French Connection, now on sale for $87.90.

Brunya, marked down from $638 to $189. 70% off! I'm sure this one is gorgeous, but not a good style for the generous of bust.
Chico's "Gaby" Dress, $88.

Love that pink flamingos dress! Wow, 80's retro print. Thankfully the style is not 80's retro.
ReplyDeleteYou're right -- where is that money tree when we need it? I love, love, love that Marc Jacobs dress. And I'd take a few of the others as well.
ReplyDeleteI had a flamingos dress in the 80s - a maternity dress I wore to death during pregnancy numbers one and two. After that, it disappeared, so I'll bet I donated it to another mom-to-be.
ReplyDeleteI love the elbow length or better yet 3/4 sleeves. They are so flattering. But since I don't have Tina Turner's legs I'm opting out on all above the knee dressses and skirts.
ReplyDeleteOh, I long for that petite modiste who can whip up that Marc Jacobs dress (which I at 5'10" would need longer). That's the kind of line you can make in solids, prints, even a fine fluid wool.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the selection.
am i the only woman living today who absolutely abhors the 3/4 sleeve?
ReplyDeleteGuess who's loving the top one???
ReplyDeletethombeau- I knew you would! ;-)
ReplyDeletebonnie-ann - I'm a huge fan of the 3/4 sleeve, but I know they're not for everyone.
Dejapseu: Considering suddenly my wardrobe boasts of half a dozen dresses, I particularly like this post. The price tags are a tad steep though, but DvF store still has sale in London! :-)
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of 3/4 sleeves, my dressmaker converted a funky, baby pink skirt suit jacket that I had from mid-load-bearing-section to elbow-length and decorated it with a ribbon. It looks very cool although I do not know if women in the US wear such stuff. In Europe, people do get away with rather creative outfits.
Those dresses are all so beautiful!
