I can't determine from here if these are wedding dresses or white evening gowns, but will investigate further. It's a lovely display, but not quite the view I'd hoped for. Alas, it's Upfront Week and the hotel is quite full.
On the plus side, my co-workers and I had a lovely dinner last night, and when I unpacked my suitcase, was delighted to discover that underpacking had paid off...my trousers and jackets hadn't wrinkled!

They look like wedding dresses to me. And, they are lovely. But, no, they are not what you think of when you think of room with a view.
Hope you continue to have a great time today!
Oh so pretty - is it the Amsale window?
What's Upfront Week? And what view were you hoping for? (Inquiring minds must know! :-)
Married almost eight years... and still Miss Janey swoons at the sight of a wedding dress. These are beautiful. And what a great shot.
LBR - yes, little less sidewalk and a little more skyline would have been nice.
always - I don't think that's the name. I'll make a note of it when we walk by today and let you know.
Linda - Upfront week is when the TV networks present their next year's anticipated programming to the advertising community.
Miss Janey - I love a nice wedding dress too. This display is particularly sophisticated and artful.
Always in Style - it's called "Pronovias."
This shows how wedding dresses (my vote) have changed from fussier, frillier, to sleeker every few years.
After three weddings I still do not 'get' why you would spend about the most you are ever going to on a dress to wear once. Even a gorgeous formal gown returns more joy and value.
The three gowns were:
1.Off-white prairie dress I made myself (hippie wedding)
2. Amethyst crepe and ecru lace vintage evening gown (country club wedding)
3. White cotton French ballet- length dress, very simple (at home)
Oh, Provonias - those sure are nice too!
It's the new Pronovias flagship! It's funny I wrote an article for my magazine about it last week! These bridal dresses are fabulous. You should have gone into the store!
Anne, I wish I'd had the time! The gowns in the windows were lovely confections: bridal, yes, but sophisticated and glamorous.
Linda, I realized I never answered your question about Upfront week. It's the time when the TV networks make their presentations of the upcoming year's programming to the advertising community, usually accompanied by massive and lavish parties.
