The Pause That Replenishes
Une femme is putting herself a clothing/accessories spending moratorium for the next few months. I've gone a bit overboard lately (Hermès scarves are addictive and should come with a warning label!!), and some needed repairs chez nous plus the desire to have a Paris Splurge Fund require that I divert more centimes into savings. Fear not, mes petites, I'll still be cyber-window-shopping, and will share favorite finds avec toutes!

I see you're up and posting well before the crowd awakes also! These jeans look very smart -- hard to resist that pinstriping. And your austerity program will make Paris even more of a treat by contrast (not to mention the extra spending money).
ReplyDeleteDeja, its a good thing that you are saving up for your trip now. One of my associates just got back from Paris where continental breakfast for one was $80! (I know that it's more reasonable to go to the local cafe and have a creme and a croissant, but sometimes with jet lag you just want to have breakfast in your room.)

ReplyDeletebelle - $80? Yikes. Last time we had a package that included a continental breakfast; this time we'll be on our own. I think the first thing I'm going to do is scope out the nearest location for my morning cup of coffee.
duchesse - a pact it is! Yes, the pants are fabulous, and had been ordered a few weeks ago before my moratorium was in place (were on backorder and only recently shipped).
I appreciate all your shopping links--I have such a hard time finding reasonable clothing. I will definitely try out those jeans. I wear jeans almost daily and just recently realized I should upgrade my jeans wardrobe if I'm going to wear them so much.
ReplyDeleteand, they say they are made in the USA. Now, what that means is not defined(I went to their website and there is no info) - it could mean a sweatshop in American Samoa - but at least they are not produced by kids chained to sewing machines in India or China.
