An attempt to emulate one of the "just threw it on" scarf looks I spotted on les Parisiennes: "Ecole Portugaise d'Art Equestre" folded diagonally into a triangle, gathered up, wrapped twice around and tied. ~
convincingly Parisienne! That is such a warmly sophisticated and wearable pink -- I'm not a big fan of the equestrian Hermès scarves but in this colour, its subtle restraint has an appealing wit, especially in this fold that only hints at the full design.
Hey, isn't it supposed to be back in the 100's this week? Enjoy your lovely fall Parisian wear while you can. Soon you will be in bikinis and pareos!;-)
ah, it must be nice to have a neck that can have a scarf wrapped around it twice... my big problem with scarves -- my short squat neck, i love them, but they don't love me. i particularly like this style -- a nice alternative to a turtleneck!
LBR - Gah. Yes, it's supposed to warm up for several days this week. According to my weather.com we're looking at low-to-mid 80's. At least it cools down at night.
Duchesse - thanks! Grey has become my favorite neutral.
madame suggia - that's a high compliment indeed, thanks so much!
bonnie ann - actually I can't tolerate anything tight around my short neck; the scarf is actually wrapped quite loosely. You could probably to this or something similar.
Is this one of your purchases from Paris? What a nice color and goes well with your grey knit!

ReplyDeleteI like it!
ReplyDeletemetscan - no, I actually purchased this one earlier this year from luxury-scarves.com . Thanks!
ReplyDeletemater - merci bien! It helps that the colors and designs are subtle.
rita - thanks!

ReplyDeleteLove the pink and gray together.
I love pink and gray or pink and brown. This is such a soft lovely tie I'm retying the one I'm wearing right NOW!
ReplyDeleteA lovely soft look, very feminine.
ReplyDeleteLoves it. What a pretty color for Une Femme.
ReplyDeleteLove it! You look tres chic, in an 'Not trying too hard, I'm just naturally fabulous' way.

Sue - thank you! I still feel like a novice at achieving these looks compared to les Parisiennes though.
ReplyDeleteMiss Janey - merci. I'm a recent convert to pink.
