Foulard de la semaine

This is my "Walk in the Park" carré again, tied the same way as here. This style looks a little different every time I try it, a plus for me. Works under a jacket too.

  1. Just last night I had the thought, "I wish Deja Pseu was here, she would know what to do." That thought came as I was trying to create outfits for my upcoming trip to SF and I was trying to incorporate some scarfs into the outfits---and it was not working.

You always make it work. This scarf is a beautiful example. Lovely on you!!

  2. I second that emotion: The scarf is gorgeous, and looks fantastic on you!

  3. How do you make that knot look so perfectly insouciant above the triangle point? I always try to work mine to the bottom layer 'cause it's not convincing atop -- I'm going to try harder to copy yours as it looks so very chic.
And that scarf's silky sheen shows up beautifully even in the photo

  4. Love that scarf! (And the way you've tied it).

What is that pin on your jacket?

  5. Belette, on a trip, my scarves often outnumber my tops! But aren't you seeing Pseu soon? She could give a demo (and post on You Tube, hint!)

  6. Belette, When I worked in SF I learned not to leave the tails on my scarves loose--too many high winds that blow the scarf up against the lipstick! Deja's tie today would be perfect.

  7. I join all the rest of us who admire your skills with a scarf. I just get all mixed up trying to wear one. The scarf won´t stay in place and I end up either wearing a napkin or dropping the whole darn thing.

  8. Yes, how do you do that scarf tie? I wear lots of scarves, but I'd like to know how you do that particular knot/style?

  9. Thanks for the lovely comments, everyone!

This is actually a very easy style, and stays in place all day without any fussing. It works best with a scarf that's not too stiff. I'll try to rope mon mari into manning the camera over the weekend and I'll post some "how to" pics.

Rita - the pin is a Chanel costume piece...the "I" in PARIS is a small Tour Eiffel.

  10. My favorite color, and I'm anxiously awaiting the how-to.

  11. How about some "how to" video? Youtube? Could go viral. That said, that scarf looks great with the jacket. But you know me, I just can't get a scarf to work with my "Redhook Brewery" t-shirt. Dangman.
