Barefoot In Paris - Easy French Food You Can Make at Home, by Ina Garten (The Barefoot Contessa). Just flipping through these recipes and the gorgeous pictures will get your drool on.

  1. I also love William Sonoma's French cookbook. I find it less intimidating than Ina's beautiful book.

  3. I am ashamed to admit that as a non-cable-haver, I hadn't seen Ina's show until this Thanksgiving. WHAT a charmer! She almost makes me believe I could cook. Almost.

    Sal - I would venture that anyone can cook, but cooking doesn't have to mean making gourmet meals that look like the pictures. Soups are a great way to start.
