Thanks everyone, it was a pleasant weekend, mostly relaxing (except for no internet connection!) and we managed to avoid the usual holiday weekend traffic to and from.
Imogen - I imagine you do!
L - Sounds lovely, but drinking champagne in the hot sun is a surefire recipe for a nasty headache for me. However I did enjoy on two consecutive evenings, a) a "sake-tini" (martini made with sake instead of vodka) and b) a "wild Coyote" magarita at Blue Coyote (two thumbs up!).
I wish.

well, it may not be Rome but Palm Springs does not sound to bad on this dreary cloudy day we are having here.
