Foulard de la semaine

This is a "vintage" sized scarf (27cm x 27cm) folded into an oblong, twisted and tied in the back.

  1. There's an award for you over at my place -- it comes with an assignment (a meme, of course!). Don't feel obliged, but I'd love to see what you do with it if you choose.

  4. So lovely. And I always enjoy seeing which solid colors you pair with your gorgeous printed scarves.

  5. On my video screen it looks like shades of sage green. So pretty!

  6. This simple way of wearing a scarf is one of my favorite. Chic and elegant, like you.

  9. Just never got into those 'vintage silks' and... I am loving them on you! Like the classic carre, the plissés, and have one cashmere/silk shawl (a gift). These are neither fish nor fowl on me and I can see how great they are for petite women or those not wanting the weight of the heavier carre.

  10. Love the scarf and the green sweater, another great color against your skin tone.

  11. I adore that green cardigan. Is it silk?

This is beautiful, though while I have found lovely quality scarves I can afford, I rarely wear them in the summer heat. I'd have to learn to do as elegant a twist round my hair.

  12. lagatta - thanks! Actually the cardigan is a cotton/nylon piece (soft as silk, though) from Talbot's here:

And I can't abide scarves above a certain temperature either, but our weather has been cool enough to wear smaller, lighter scarves.
