Talbot's Pick of the Week

Ces chaussures sont formidables!!! Very cute, and very comfortable. (The heel looks much higher than it feels.) Don't take my word for it. Try these on! $119 at Talbots.com

  5. Love the look of these and am wondering as have found Talbot's shoes so stiff when trying in the store. But as they are changing, should go there now, right now, and find out.

  7. materfamilias - I've been impressed with some of what Talbot's has come up with lately, not stodgy at all!

WendyB - and I'm amazed that I can walk comfortably in these WendyB heels. Quel miracle!

Good Life - if they make a spectator pump version of these, I may have to get those too.

  8. Susan - I've been pleasantly surprised at some of what Talbot's has been coming out with lately. They have a reputation as a stodgy "old lady" store, which I think is becoming increasingly undeserved. I've always found their quality to be quite good for basic work wear, and am happy to see them adding some real style to the mix.

Duchesse - unlike some of their earlier shoes, these have very flexible rubber soles (as opposed to stiff leather). They also seem to have a nice bit of padding under the footbed, and decent arch support.

  9. Sal - go look, I think you'll be surprised. They also have a pretty major sale going on now...just picked up some paisley ballet flats marked down from $99 to $29.
