Those are formidable indeed -- so classic-with-an-edge, love 'em!
I'm amazed that Talbots has a WendyB-height heel!
very stylish...i have always, always liked spectator pumps and these sort of remind me of them.
I agree with Wendy, I'm surprised that's at Talbots. Very chic.
Love the look of these and am wondering as have found Talbot's shoes so stiff when trying in the store. But as they are changing, should go there now, right now, and find out.
Ooh! I haven't checked out Talbots in ages. Those fab shoes are just the reminder I need to scoot over there ...
materfamilias - I've been impressed with some of what Talbot's has come up with lately, not stodgy at all!WendyB - and I'm amazed that I can walk comfortably in these WendyB heels. Quel miracle!Good Life - if they make a spectator pump version of these, I may have to get those too.
Susan - I've been pleasantly surprised at some of what Talbot's has been coming out with lately. They have a reputation as a stodgy "old lady" store, which I think is becoming increasingly undeserved. I've always found their quality to be quite good for basic work wear, and am happy to see them adding some real style to the mix.Duchesse - unlike some of their earlier shoes, these have very flexible rubber soles (as opposed to stiff leather). They also seem to have a nice bit of padding under the footbed, and decent arch support.
Sal - go look, I think you'll be surprised. They also have a pretty major sale going on now...just picked up some paisley ballet flats marked down from $99 to $29.
I can't imagine our Talbot's having anything like this...these look like they'd be great with jeans. Très chic!
I love the 1930's look of these shoes.
I plan on hitting a Talbots this Friday when I start school shopping and will check these out.
I just wish they would make those shoes in a lower-heeled style!
