Last night we finally made it to see Spamalot. Very funny, but (spoiler alert), Matthew Greer (third from top) chews some major scenery and totally steals Act 1 as the French Taunter. He also managed to work in a Brett Farve joke in the second act. Comedy Gold!Tonight I will have the privilege and pleasure to chew some scenery (and perhaps an antipasto plate) with the fabulous WendyB and a merry band of LA bloggers. If we break into song, RUN for your lives!!!

I got to see Spamalot about a year ago. I haven't laughed so hard in a long, long time! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteBelly laughs -- there are too few opportunities in life to indulge, but they are so therapeutic.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed Spamalot and wishing you much more fun and laughter tonight -- lucky you!
I believe that any "French taunter" MUST chew scenery and steal the scene! It cannot be any other way!
ReplyDeleteHave fun on your meet up with WendyB! I bet there will be more belly laughs with her too :D
ReplyDeleteLove Spamalot! We've seen it twice.
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic time with the LA blogging clan!
ReplyDeleteWe band of sisters, we happy few...San Diego looks pale with envy on LA's placid shore. Well, you know what I mean. Have a great time with all the blogistas!
ReplyDelete"une semaine bien remplie" remplie is a qualifying adjective here therefore takes an 'e' (semaine being a fem. noun)
ReplyDeleteHave a great bloggy night - I'm sure you'll have a good time!
ReplyDeleteNancy - I'd been quite skeptical about whether I'd enjoy, as a) I'm not into musicals and b) mixed results usually ensue when a popular movie is turned into a stage production, but this one really did deliver!
ReplyDeletematerfamilias - remember when we were little and would crack up and not be able to stop laughing? I miss that.
Anon @857a - bien sur!
Sher - we did have a great time and lots of giggles. What a great group of people Wendy draws to her!
ReplyDeleteWendyB - I can totally see you as Lady of the Lake.
Sal - we had a great time, thanks!
Tessa-Scoffs - we've talked about having more LA Blogger get-togethers. Would you ever consider travelling north to join us?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - zut alors! Merci pour la correction! (I was half asleep when I posted yesterday.)
I loved Spamalot in New York last year! Luckily all the Naughty jokes went right over my daughter and her little friend's head!
ReplyDeleteKaren - I'll bet they got the fart jokes, though... :-)
