All this talk of ruffled scarves and Tish's post last week about the ruffled collar trend reminded me that I'd purchased this wack-a-doodle number last year because I loved the autumn colors so much. I've never worn it because part of me thinks it's just a bit much (and it's still too hot anyway, except to model in air-conditioned comfort) but now that there's a trend working, I may have to find a way for this to see daylight.
Peut-être.

Like the colours; if too much to wear, tie on a bag!
ReplyDeleteNice colors; very "fall."
ReplyDeleteDéfénitivement Mme pseu, les 'froufrou' reviennent à la mode. Chez-nous, nous les voyons un peu içi et là, chic et très féminin. Le vôtre est comme un rayon de soleil, charmant!
ReplyDeleteOrane
I, for one, LOVE it. And feel quite sure you'll find a way to make it work!
ReplyDeleteThat would lovely with the Ann Taylor jacket you liked ;).....just saying.....
ReplyDeleteYour colours, definitely!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great with your hair.
ReplyDeleteI think it's beautiful. Go for it.
ReplyDeleteIt is charming, especially since the jackets shoulders are crisping up a bit this year--a wine , or chocolate or taupe/olive( as in your pic) fitted blazer with that at the neck would look great, I think..if it still feels like too much, you could just tuck the fringy ends under the lapels and fluff out the rest..gorgeous colors.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I dare you! C'mon, you know you want to . . .
ReplyDeleteI like it. I'm officially on the hunt for a ruffly scarf now.
ReplyDeleteFab-u-lous.
ReplyDeleteWell, of course, the last thing anyone of us needs is another black sweater -- but then again. . .
Perfect! You must have started the trend ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love it, too. I would wear to an evening event... the symphony perhaps.
ReplyDeleteWowtsy! I´d suggest ( depending on the width and length of it ) that wear it as a shawl, if it gets too hot as a scarf. Maybe even around the waist; I mean it looks so gorgeous, that you must wear it!
ReplyDeleteOK am I the only one who noticed the Foulard de la semaine looks like FLAMES? As in wildfires. Gorgeous nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteI likey!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh you are a very very good ambassadors för the blog-sphere.... I love your blog!
ReplyDeleteRegards from Agneta in Sweden
I have a scarf about that same color although, not ruffly, and it hasn't been out on the town much either. I can never seem to figure out how to wear it. I keep thinking it might work well with a chambray shirt. The color is very nice on you.
ReplyDeleteDuchesse - I think it might overwhelm a bag, but if I keep the rest of the ensemble simple, think I can get used to wearing as shown.
ReplyDeleteNancy - thank you!
Orane - merci beaucoup. Vous etes trop gentile!
Sal - thanks! After playing with it a bit yesterday, I think I'll be able to "make it work."
ReplyDeleteSher - well, the jacket's now in my closet, so I'll definitely try it! ;-)
Sue - thanks! I love the really traditional fall colors, but they don't seem to be very prevalent this season.
Belle - thanks!
ReplyDeleteLPC - thank you!
Katriona - thanks, yes, and I'm on the lookout for some jackets in those colors.
materfamilias - you're right, I do want to wear this. Now all I need is some weather below 80F....
ReplyDeleteBonjour Madame - I think you'll find a good selection of ruffly scarves right now. I've seen several recently.
Tishjett - merci beaucoup! I did go back and try on the sweater, and while I love the style, alas it wasn't cut right for me. But now I'm on the lookout for something similar.
WendyB - that's me, Style Trendsetter.
ReplyDelete;-p
Lindy - it would be fun to wear to the symphony...
Metscan - thanks! I know I'll find a way to wear it. Can't let these colors languish in my closet!
Tessa-Scoffs - yikes! Maybe I'll wait until fire season is over...
ReplyDeleteImogen - thank you!
Hi Agneta - welcome and thank you.
Lisa - I think you can wear orange with just about any colors except red and black. If you have any grey or brown tops, these colors look great with those Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI think it is fantastic. Really, it is one of my favorites of your amazing collection.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great look on you...sophisticated and not at all "too much!"
ReplyDeleteInteresting that ruffled scarves are on the way in; I have a very narrow silk oblong scarf that's ruffled on the long edges and I swear I've had the hardest time figuring out how to make it work. If I wear it vertically with a knot holding the two sides together it's passable.
But while I may be scarf-impaired, I'm not blind... so go for it!
Love it!!!!
