If you want to know why I'm returning these, just ask yourselves, "What's wrong with this picture?" I appreciate that you offer your "urban" jeans for those of us with
derriere to spare, but how about making the pockets proportional? I'd rather not go about looking as if there's a postage stamp affixed to each cheek.

So funny, and so true!
ReplyDeleteOy, you're right!
ReplyDeleteSuspect this is one more way to cut corners, literally!
ReplyDeleteWow, no kidding.
ReplyDeleteBut what if someone sent you somewhere really, really interesting???
ReplyDeleteIhaven't tried BR jeans yet. How was the fit?
Ugh! I hate when designers make pockets like that...I don't believe that's attractive on anybody.
ReplyDeleteWhich "urban" style did you buy? The pockets on #670832 (Urban Medium Wash Straight Jean) appear to be supersized.
ReplyDeleteHahaa.. I have had jeans on my mind the past two days and wished someone would post on them. Thanks for you! Now I have found 2 brands, which I can recommend. The cheaper model is a Italian brand called Max&Co and the more expensive one is by Dior. Now these jeans are for Women! Both have a nice slim cut and at least I once again feel `normal´. No tummy rolls, no need to pull my pants up. I am SO fed up with the low jeans. And the pockets are fixed properly too!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried Old Navy jeans? I think they are the best. The "Sweetheart" cut is not too low and they have normal-sized pockets. They cost $29.50 and I like them more than my Joe's jeans.
ReplyDeleteOh you are so right - those mini pockets do no favors!!!
ReplyDeleteI actually snorted with laughter at those pockets.
ReplyDeletewho designed these things??
ReplyDeleteAll - My suspicion is that they only make the pockets in one size...which probably looks fine on the size 0 or 2 version, but ridiculous on a 10.
ReplyDeleteNancy - these were they. Frightening, isn't it?
I know it's not a "flash" brand, but I'm currently in hot sweaty love with my Lee "Slender Secret" jeans. OK, eew on the name, but my goodness, they look like they were made for me.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm a Coke-bottle-shaped 18, so I'm used to trying on a gajillion pairs before I find anything I even remotely like. I actually found TWO pairs of Lees that worked for me in the space of about five minutes. I nearly fainted.
And even better, they come in petites. Have a look on the Lee website -- they've just posted their new styles for Fall, and there are lots of options.

Too bad on the jeans-BR doesn't usually miss the mark that bad!
ReplyDeleteI love the postage stamp comment..made me giggle. L
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU.
ReplyDeleteI had to return a pair of straight-legs to BR at the beginning of the season because the pockets were so ridiculously disproportionate. And my dupa was not that big! :)
Those are absolutely terrible.
