Foulard de la semaine

This is a slightly exaggerated version of a method of tying I observed frequently in Paris, done with the oblong or shawl-style scarves. If a larger scarf, it's often wound several times around the neck so that the ends don't hang down very far.

  1. LOVE it! I am definitely gonna try this tie, and soon.

  2. I find drawing the eye up (for those of us with definite busts) very flattering. Love your hair colour!

  3. I like that tie very much, but maybe even more, I love the colours in that scarf (although they're not colours I can usually wear). What a fresh take on plaid!

  4. I find that tie v e r y casual, and something I could manage too; ). What a coincidence that the chap on the Sartorialist is Finnish and I happen to have met his sister!

  6. Dear D.P.,

You forgot to tell me about the Lancel bag. I love it. Saw and recorded for posterity the other of course.

OK, tell me how you can tie a scarf and photograph the process at the same time. BTW, merci encore for your little trick with my scarf in the middle of my chocolat chaud. I slipped it off over my head so it would stay the way you tied it.

In your "moving picture" of your visit in Paris I noticed you brushed or finger combed your hair back. I think it looks stunning and shows off your pretty face to great advantage.

    xo,

[BTW, I was at Talbots last week and saw your pretty "Paris" scarf is now on sale, for those who waited.]
