Foulard de la semaine

Here's another version of the tie I saw frequently in Paris. This scarf was purchased on our first Paris trip in 2007 at one of those touristy shops on Rue Rivoli. It's still one of my favorites, and worn often during cooler months.

  3. Nice scarf - but I'd like to focus on posture, if you don't mind. I slipped a disc in summer and have been trying to put it right ever since (mmm I feel a blog post coming on!) so here's what I know:
    1) sitting at the computer for hours on end = very bad for the back/posture
    2) pilates & swimming = very good for the back/posture. In fact, I'd say pilates, is the perfect exercise for the femme of a certain age.
    Hope that helps

  4. Pesu, the palette in that scarf forms a reference library of 'your' colours, doesn't it?

  5. I agree with Duchesse -- that scarf seems to encapsulate "your" colours -- it's great! and I love the way you've tied it.

  6. Beautiful scarf. How did you tie it? Is it a variation of the tie at http://www.unefemme.net/2009/11/lecon-comment-plier-un-foulard.html ? Mine never look that good...

  7. Whoa, this one looks super complicated and you didn't include a diagram. Very pretty.

    I also loved this one:
    "Leçon, comment plier un foulard"
And it has become one of my favorite knots!

That's Not My Age - yes, working at the computer for hours on end is definitely contributing to my poor posture habits. Thanks for the suggestions!

  14. Duchesse - it really does! I can wear this one with just about everything in my closet, at least color-wise.

materfamilias - thanks! I love building ensembles around this scarf too.

Mme K. - I added a link on the original post to the earlier instruction on how to tie. It's quite simple, a wrap and a half knot.
