Paris Loot - les foulards!

The only scarf I actually set out to buy was this Eric Bompard cashmere (listed on their website as "Fine Lace Stole;" look under "Accessories/Voile Scarves"). I'd picked up one in a vivid orange on our last Paris visit and loved it, and wanted another one in a more neutral and subdued color. I love these scarves! They are soft, lightweight and provide warmth without bulk. The color I chose this time is called "Oregano Green" but it's actually more of a soft, light teal or seafoam.This Gerard Darel scarf was an impulse buy. I'd seen it at one of the department stores, but didn't pick it up when I was there. Later I was looking for it in one of the GD boutiques, but they'd sold out of the larger shawl size and this one is actually the child's size. But I think it works, non?

  3. I adore Eric Bompard knitwear. Tomorrow when I am in Brussels I will drop by the store. He has a very nice leopardprint shawl, on the website sold out. I hope it is still on sale in the store.
    But I can try my luck at Gerard Darel's too.
    I have to shop for my wedding on december the 29th. It is fun, but trying. So much choice.
    About Dove: it is with Roger & Gallet (bois d'orange!) my favourite showergel and bodylotion (Body silk moisturizing cream, mmm).
    In my experience soap is much more dehydrating to the skin than le gel douche.

  6. Your new scarves are just lovely on you. When my family travels we are usually cramming the clothing of three people into two suitcases so I'm limited to purchasing only what I can bring home in my carry-on. This has made scarves my default travel purchase which has worked out well for me.

    I am glad to see that you and DH had such a wonderful time on your recent trip to Paris. I wish you many happy returns.

  7. It definitely works. Personally, I think the size is beautiful and it keeps your beloved theme going because you ARE the leopard girl.

    I agree, love those Bompard scarves, in fact love waaaay too much chez eux.

  9. Great choices! Eric Bompard's web site is an efficient and easy, if anyone would like one. They will also send ou the hard copy catalog with little 'bits' of yarn.

    Laurie Ann - thank you! Scarves make great souvenirs. I now deliberately pack so that I leave about 1/3 of the available room in the suitcase for other souvenirs. This time we bought lots of mustards, vinegars and wines which couldn't be brought in carry-ons, so I was glad I'd used this strategy.

  19. Bought the last leopard shawl in the house at Bompards in Brussels yesterday! And a blacksilk/cashmere v-neck sweater.
    That was nice.
