Style Survey

Sal over at Already Pretty has a wonderful post up today surveying women in their 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's about their style evolution.  (Including une femme!)  It's great to see the variety of attitudes about style and how these women define their own styles.

  1. That's the thing I think I have the most difficulty with, as it depends on my mood at the moment. on one hand I like simple classic neutrals, black, white, taupe, etc. on the other hand I am drawn visually to boho looking ethereal clothing.

That doesn't suit me though since I am curvy, busty, and have thighs and booty. The lovely peasant tops look like maternity tops on me. I still keep making some mistakes. Arghhhh!

  4. I visited Sal´s blog. Naturally the over 50´s seemed more interesting. I remember feeling and looking my best aged 34. Turning 40 is really hard. Women seem much older at that age than men. I have always spent time with people younger than myself, and sometimes I really get shocked seeing people my age. I should spend more time with my age group, and not only view the magazines filled with the young and beautiful.

  5. I LOVE Sal's post and am very excited that you and K-line are part of it. I am having trouble seeing the pictures and so I keep going back to visit it, hoping that I can see all of the pictures. You are definitely a style icon and I learn a lot from you.

  8. Julianne - for the boho look, I've found that straight silk tunics are great for our curvy bodies. I can certainly relate to gravitating to styles that just aren't right for our bodies!

Sal - thanks again for inviting me to participate; it was really a priviledge!

Rita - isn't Winona a kick! And so wise for such a young woman.

  9. materfamilias - thanks!

metscan - it's interesting; I find that the women I know are aging better than the men. Maybe because they pay more attention and take better care of themselves?

LBR - thank you! It was really fun.
