I thought I'd take advantage of some cooler weather to indulge my recent color obsession with a favorite scarf. This is my Hermès "H en Voyage," in the smaller vintage size (27in x 27in). Folded in the basic bias fold, twisted a couple of times, tied in the back.
I love this scarf! I bet you and I like the same colors...I wear browns, military greens, oranges...during the summer. Saturated colors look best on me now...not pastels... and this scarf would be on me if I had it..even during the summer!!
Hello: What fun this scarf is with its luggage forming the letter H. Clearly as this season seems to be producing a rash of H's on everything we should take advantage of it all and pretend that it is a long lost family monogram!!
There are scarf women, and then there are those, who are not. I belong to the latter group. However, you always seem to find a scarf which fits you well!
I love that scarf more every time you post it! And the colours make me think of Duchesse's recent post on olive and cognac as immensely useful colours. Good for you, btw, for turning cooler weather into an advantage. I'm finding that increasingly harder to do as we've dropped down below 20C again, after barely achieving low 20s for a few days. . .
I love the pattern and the tie technique is so simple yet perfect. I did it with a vintage Hermes with a deep rose border and it made the outfit. Please do another video!!
coffeeaddict - I tend to look best in autumnal colors in general, and gravitate to them year round. Thanks.
Pam - I find that pastels wash me out like crazy. Saturated but dusky colors are best for me. Have you ever had a color analysis done?
RoseAG - thank you! When I'm looking for scarves I always look for color first. I know I won't be wearing the scarf so that the entire pattern is visible. Many patterns will actually look abstract once the scarf is tied, so if you like the colors, scrunch and twist the scarf to get an idea of how it will look when worn.
Jane and Lance Hattatt - thank you. Yes, you should definitely appropriate the H.
LPC - the beauty of soft focus...I curse my camera's auto focus issues but sometimes it works to my advantage.
Bourbon & Pearls - I had to practice and play a LOT before I got the hang of it.

M - there's nothing wrong with looking your age. I've met LPC and she knows what I look like, so I took her remark more as an observation on this particular photo than a compliment.

Love the way you wear your H scarves , I first came across this so effective twist when you modelled un foulard ravissant..les toits de paris in a lovely copper .
That set me on a bit of an H journey...but that's another story!
It' very autumnal. But them again you have been very focused on the autumn trends lately.

Yet when it's folded up and up against something else it's very attractive.
Once I own a scarf I'll wear it. For me the leap is picking it out.
