Visible Monday: Autumn Color and Mixed Textures
Terri at RAGS posted last week showing a nice mix of textures in a mostly monochromatic ensemble. I love the interest that mixing textures can bring to a look, but it’s harder to capture in WIW shots. I’m really enjoying wearing my Soft Autumn colors here!
Sweater: Eileen Fisher, here. (Mine is the Cobblestone color.)
Pants: Talbots ankle cords, here.
Scarf: Eileen Fisher, not available online. It’s a very lightweight cashmere. I love the colors but are the tassels too much?
Boots: Indigo by Clarks, here.
Bracelets: Stella and Dot wrap bracelet, here. (Other one, ? have had many years.)

Here’s a closeup of the texture on the sweater. I love this linen sweater to bits (literally – it snags easily and I have to be careful but it’s such a wonderful piece, I’ve been wearing it frequently).

The tassles are the things that made me smile – that and the overall effect, which is charming and striking and a pleasure to see.
I think the tassels are perfect–without them the scarf would be just another scarf.

If I h a d to change something, I´d change the bracelets to the now trendy leather bands. But, you are wearing jewelry you love, and that is the most important thing.

@The Style Crone Thank you! It’s hard to see in that picture but actually the tassels are a yellowish green, which offsets the russet color of the body of the scarf quite nicely.

@Pearl Well, “autumn” is relative. We’ve had temperatures mostly in the mid-high 70’s the past few days, with slightly cooler days ahead. We’ll probably still get the blast of heat that comes with Santa Ana’s at some point this month and off and on into November. I enjoy my cooler days whenever I can!

You and mater are really inspiring me this morning (bed-bound and BORED)!!! Love wearing similar colours but mixing it up with texture. My latest texture obsession is linen knit fabrics (rather than woven) … May stalk that sweater or knit something similar.

I like the whole outfit, love the pallette BUT, I’m the minority, dislike the tassels, at least for me which they would over power.
