It's still boot weather here, although we've had a few splendidly sunny days, and I'm thinking about a pedi to get sandal-ready. Of course, the young'uns wear their boots even in summer, over bare legs, but that's never made sense to me, no matter how good it can look . . .
I agree. I live in Wisconsin and it has been a STRANGE spring! Went to Easter Brunch yesterday and though it was cold enought to wear boots, (and I really wanted to), I just couldn't bring myself to do it! Wore espadrilles instead and the tootsies were a little chilly.
Chilly weather? If only! Temps consistently in the 80 s here already. Just came back from a brisk walk but now have to shower, quite a disincentive to exercise, at least in the middle of the day. Last week I did my closet changeover, even though I'd been wearing lightweight tops as well as capris, and some shorts, for several weeks already. Enjoy your temperate climates, people!
Totally by temperature. 70 degrees and above = sandals. 50-70 = closed toe shoes, pumps or ballet flats but no hose. Less than 50 degrees = boots or loafers with hose or socks. This makes it easy for me. Mimi
Still wearing my boots up here in northern California. I stop when it gets to be mid 70's as a high. My wardrobe is so confused...I have all my tank tops in with the heavy winter coats. Will be getting more rain and cold temps this week. So much for getting some sun on my legs anytime soon!

ReplyDeleteLeather boots? When the ground is dry and the temperature is on the + C° side.
ReplyDeleteRubber boots? I wear them every day at the stable.

ReplyDeleteI keep wearing my boots as long as the chill is in the air. Sandals yesterday, boots today. Transition weather lasts a long time in Colorado!
