We arrived late Friday afternoon after one long flight and one short one. Other than some serious congestion at Heathrow going through security (they make you go through again even if you're just connecting) everything was on time and went smoothly.
After checking in and getting our bearings in this huge room (thanks to
le monsieur's work connections, though we never expected anything this opulent) we took a stroll around the neighborhood before dinner. And what a neighborhood!

incroyable! Exactly what we were looking for after a long trip: delicious, not too much or too heavy.
Though it was raining and the bar was closed, we had to visit the terrace atop the Hotel Raphael, just for a few minutes of this view.

Gorgeous room! I love the photo of you the best. I'm trying to figure out whether you're wearing a jacket or cardigan. It looks like a leather jacket but I didn't think you packed one.
