We spent most of the day just wandering. What a beautiful place this is! Just a note: I've done no digital enhancing of these photos, other than a tiny bit of cropping. The colors really are this saturated!
At the marché...
Outside of Cezanne's atelier...
Unfortunately we arrived just as they were closing. I was able to snap a quick picture of the gardens before we were shooed out.

Oh, je reconnais bien ! A place I visited some years back and loved. Adore your photos!
ReplyDeleteThe strawberries! These photos are marvelous, and they relax me just viewing them. I hope you're having a wonderful time there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I'm taken by the glimpse of the young man in the blue hair, and the other young man who appears to be stomping on pigeons. But the strawberries, and then the artichokes! Thank you for 'taking me along' this way.
ReplyDeleteStrolling right along with you, thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou are having so much fun and your photos make me hungry. Looks like you're enjoying sunny weather too.
ReplyDeleteLovely clear pictures!
ReplyDeleteThe market images are so inviting and the cheese selection is vast!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to stroll and explore. It's so beautiful.
Oh lovely photos Pseu! I can smell the sweet air and taste the fruit, vegetables and cheeses.
ReplyDeleteWow, all that cheese. I'm drooling.
ReplyDeleteI want to make Provence and esp. AIX my next trip to France. You are inspiring me to bright ideas. Thanks it looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteKeep the pictures coming...love these!
ReplyDeleteMerci beaucoup! Brings back memories of my junior year in Avignon in 1970. Hope you avoid the mistral.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so, so -- FRENCH! Thanks for packing us along in your carryon.
ReplyDeleteAix is by far my favourite town in the Provence. Very peaceful and calm. Too bad the atelier was closing. Can you come back another day?
ReplyDeleteOh, quite lovely. I've never been to Aix, but I was just reading MFK Fisher's "Two Kitchens in provence" aweek or so ago.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely. I want those artichokes!
