A Little Mixed Up

With all of the craziness at work this week, I’d hit the wall by Friday trying to put outfits together, so grabbed one of my Karina Dresses to simplify things (and to be assured I’d be comfortable during another long day at my desk). But I was also dying for some color, so threw on this coral-red floral J.Crew scarf, and was very pleased with the mix. I snapped this shot as I was dashing out the door, but didn’t have time to check the focus.

  1. You look great. Love the scarf against the skirt pattern, and the phone case works too:). I am close behind you in figuring out the moto boots conundrum. In another 2-3 weeks I ought to be ready for a foray.

  2. Love the scarf! Very playful. My scarves have already started getting daily duty again (and will continue to through March, anyway). As for the boots, likewise. I have two with a high heel (about 3.5″ or 4″ – not sure), and one slouchy black pair with a 2″ heel that I’ve already worn multiple times with both skirts and pants.

Love, love, love dressing this time of year. More layering, more texture and pattern, more options (for covering arms), and so much fun!

    1. I’m jealous! Going to be 83 here tomorrow, was hotter here earlier today until a storm came through. Walked through the mall last week admiring the beautiful fall clothes, wishing I could wear some. At least it’s cool enough to wear jeans (most days). I have new black leather high heeled boots I just got on sale at Banana Republic, plus a new leather jacket from the Nordstrom sale a while back. WAITING for cool enough weather to wear them!

  3. You look super chic and comfy. I love your boots with the dress. I’ll be trying a scarf with one of my jersey dresses in the near future!

  4. Thanks for coming by my blog today. You can purchase the same socks at a web site called Sock It To Me. The socks are fabulously comfy and don’t fall down when you’re wearing them.
    Have a great week!

  5. Karina dresses look like they were made for just you. You look fabulous and the addition of the scarf was perfect. I really like the dress with those boots.

  6. You made that mix work. Thanks for showing us how. Really, it’s the best way to learn this really challenging styling concept. So good for me to be able to take a few minutes to consider what your choices, rather than try to learn from some woman rushing by on the street. As I said before, I may change my moto-boot rejection because of how well you wear them!
